Holiday Prize Draw

This competition is open to all UK residents aged 30 years and over who accurately complete the official entry form / on line survey and return / submit it before the closing date.

There will be one main prize to win.  This prize is a 7 night stay for up to 4 people at a top holiday destination in the Canaries, with the option of half board included (prize value up to € 1,000).  Flights, travel arrangements and insurance are not included, and is the responsibility of the prizeholder.

The closing date for this draw is 31st August 2010.  This promotional draw may be run across or be amalgamated with other promotions by A Vacation in the Sun (AVITS) as long as they share an equivalent or greater prize offer.  Further, this may involve pooling the total number of entrants from one or more other prize draws to make one draw on the closing date and awarding one main prize with the nature of that prize determined by which prize draw the entrant entered in the first place.

There is only one entry per household allowed.  No purchase necessary to enter.  The draw will take place within 14 days of the closing date.  The winners will be selected at random.  The Judge’s decision will be final.  No correspondence will be entered into.

This draw is not open to employees, associated agents of AVITS or Grand Holidays Club or anyone concerned with this promotion or to members of any Sponsor Companies’ holiday products.  Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.

The winner will be notified by telephone or e-mail within 14 days of the draw date of the competition.  If contact cannot be made within 30 days of the draw date, the prize will be forfeited and will be used as the prize for the following draw.  It is the entrant’s responsibility to notify AVITS of any change in contact information.  The Prize Winner’s name will be available from AVITS.  Details required to process the prize claim must be provided by the winner within 14 days of notification by AVITS or its representative.  Entry into this draw constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.  Prizes are not transferable. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes with one of an equivalent or greater value.

Bonus Week Holidays (which are offered separately and independent of the prize offered in the Prize Draw itself) are subject to terms and conditions.

Data is held according to the AVITS privacy and data policy which can be viewed at www.prizeholidaycompetition.com/privacy.  Your details may be shared with carefully selected companies who may wish to contact you with information or services which may be of interest.  Entry into the draw authorises us to contact you including by phone, email and/or SMS.  Calls may be monitored and could be recorded for quality and training purposes.  Please note that we reserve the right to contact you before or after the Prize Draw to make Special Offers which are entirely separate from the Prize Draw and that those Special Offers are subject to attending a presentation and are subject to their own qualification criteria and their own terms and conditions.  Promoter: A Vacation in the Sun, Los Abrigos, Tenerife.

Bonus Week Holidays

For a limited time only, Clients who fall into certain criteria may benefit from staying at one of the Grand Holidays Club Resorts for a single promotional week.

Grand Holiday Club (GHC) Members, AVITS. and GHC employees and their families, owners of any Holiday Club Points’ systems or applicants falling outside of the booking criteria are not eligible to participate for a promotional Bonus Week Holiday.

This offer is not transferable in whole or part and applicants may only have one request for a Bonus Week Holiday with AVITS.

Clients who have previously attended an AVITS Resort, or a Grand Holidays Club Resort within the previous 18 months are not eligible to receive the holiday voucher or any bonus gifts.

Bonus Week Holidays Offer

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all AVITS Bonus Weeks and cannot be altered under any circumstances.  The promotion is operated in accordance with the available Resorts` own specific terms & conditions and cannot be varied by any verbal representations. AVITS is a trading name of Tevere Travels SL.

  1. This holiday offer is open to UK residents aged between thirty and sixty-five who are married, or have been cohabiting for at least two years, and are home owners with a joint annual income in excess of £25,000.
  2. This promotion may only be used by the participant family once and is not transferable in whole or part.
  3. Flights are not included with this offer, and flights, transport and transfers are the responsibility of the travelling party.
  4. Travel insurance is the responsibility of the travelling party, and this can not be arranged by AVITS.
  5. As part of this special offer, during your stay you will be required to take a hospitality tour, which will explain the resort facilities, services on offer and the benefits of the Resort’s own Holiday Club system to you. There is no obligation to rent or purchase anything in order to take up this holiday offer.
  6. Two of the passengers travelling must be travelling as a pre-qualified couple (as per terms & conditions).  All passenger names must be provided at the time of application.  Any name change requests must be made in writing, and approval obtained.  There may be additional charges for changes after the offer has been confirmed and accepted.
  7. Clients must choose four different weeks that are a minimum of eight weeks apart and must be within 18 months of the initial application date.  If any of the preferred dates are not available, the booking will remain valid until suitable dates have been secured.  No refund of booking fee is applicable.
  8. High Season weeks are subject to availability and priority for these weeks will be given to teachers and families with school-aged children.
  9. The offer is for one week only and is to be taken in either studio or 1 bedroom units (2 adults, 2 children permitted)   Any additional weeks may be obtained and are charged at the full rental price, (subject to availability and excluding peak times).
  10. Non-compliance with the Terms & Conditions mentioned, insufficient or non-payment of fees, fraudulent attempts made to use this offer or misrepresentation will invalidate the offer and absolve AVIS of all responsibilities to the client.
  11. Should any information supplied at the time of booking later found to be incorrect, or if the travelling party refuse to attend their hospitality tour, the Promotional Resort may charge you in full for the cost of your reservation.  (Prices charged locally and are set by the home Resort).
  12. Promotional Bonus Weeks are subject to availability and work on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.  In the unlikely event of over-subscription, clients will be offered a guaranteed place on another of their choice of dates.
  13. To the extent permitted by law, AVITS does not accept responsibility for any damages, loss, delays, injuries/deaths, accidents or dissatisfaction caused by occurrences and conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to: acts of God, nature, sickness, strikes, local customs, law and politics during registered clients’ participation in an AVITS offer.
  14. All communications / confirmations from AVITS will be made by electronic mail and telephone.
  15. Delay in receipt of notifications caused by postal services; and/or delay in receipt caused by absence from home; and/or non-fulfilment of the acceptance procedure, will absolve AVITS of any further responsibility in fulfilling the holiday offer.
  16. Once you have received confirmation of your accommodation, no changes to the booking can be made without prior consent from AVITS or the Resort offering the promotion.
  17. The promotional holiday fee is non-refundable.  An alternative Resort / Dates may be offered if circumstances change prior to departure dates.
  18. This offer is a once-only offer and the principal passenger/family cannot take or book any future AVITS Promotional Week offers.
  19. All travellers must have a valid passport at time of travel, and it is the responsibility of the travellers to arrange any visa documentation, if applicable.
  20. AVITS reserves the right to refuse your application for a Promotional Bonus Week, with no further correspondence being entered into.
  21. All the information that you supply will be held by AVITS or its authorised agents to help with the supply of the services indicated and for research, marketing and promotional analysis purposes.  Disclosure to other companies may have to be made in order to provide the services requested.  In addition, your details may be shared with carefully selected companies who may contact you with information on products or services that may be of interest.  Telephone and other communications may be recorded or monitored for the purpose of staff training and quality control.
